Risteard is a teacher, translator and writer. He has written several textbooks for secondary students, most notably the Turas series with Educate.ie. He loves playing music and singing badly – which is why in Mo Chuid Amhráin Ghaeilge we thought it best to leave it to the professionals! Risteard is committed to the promotion of Irish language and culture and hopes that you will see this reflected in our song books.
Vanessa is our Irish-American multilingual Admin Manager who manages to prop up the company while bringing a unique mix of creativity, passion, and analytical expertise to the role. Not just this but she also doubles as a radio presenter and newsreader! Prior to this she worked in Depfa Bank as Associate Director in Dublin. Vanessa is a graduate of Boston College with majors in French and International Studies.
Sophie is a student currently studying Digital Marketing. She has lived and studied in several different countries and is very passionate about both art and music! She is very excited to learn more about how to develop her marketing skills and get a better understanding of graphic design for social media!
Tatyana grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and spent much of her early childhood going to the library and listening to stories. She is now based in County Meath, Ireland where she spends a lot of time working on illustrations and new story ideas. Emer Ní Scolaí is a 19 year old harpist from Dublin. She has been playing classical and traditional harp ever since her passion for Irish music was instilled in her by her late grandfather, the well-known Clare singer and flute-player Séamus Mac Mathúna. She performs both solo and alongside her two sisters in their exciting up-and-coming band ‘Sult’. She attends the Fleadh Cheoil every year and is the recipient of 7 All-Ireland titles from the years in Sligo, Ennis and Drogheda. Based in Dublin, Ireland, Anne is an accomplished illustrator with a unique flair for storytelling through line, color, and collage. She is a graduate of Visual Communication from the National College of Art & Design in Dublin and is an active member of both Illustrators Ireland and the AOI (Association of Illustrators).
